If you have any questions, please ask, but these rules are in place to protect the original artists, no matter if it's another artist, Hasbro, or you. There are no exceptions and your bases will continue to be denied if they are not properly credited. Simply saying "I drew this base," or "base made by me," isn't enough, because of course you did! Everybody technically "makes" or "draws" the bases and that doesn't always mean that's yours.įor the sake of letting everybody know that you didn't trace somebody else's art and letting them know that you made it, please credit yourself by mentioning that you are the original artist behind the base. These are bases that you have made out of your own style or have just drawn yourself! To properly credit these, you must mention that you received permission from the original artist after actually doing so and mention the original artist. These are bases traced from art from another artist whose style is not the show's style. For other artists' vectors fitting the show's style, you need to mention that you've asked permission after actually doing so and receiving permission to trace the vector.įor Fan Style Vectors Made by Other Artists To properly credit these to receive approval of submission, you must mention that you've either traced them from a screenshot or from another artist's vector. Saying "MLP is owned by Hasbro," isn't enough. Almost always these are screenshots from the show, but occasionally they are from vectors other artists made. "Show style bases" means ones that fit with the show's style. If you don't like these crediting rules, then please find another group in which to submit your bases because they will continue to be denied until you do so or follow the rules. It seems a lot of you who have been submitting bases are having a hard time understanding how to properly credit on your bases in order to be submitted to this group.
